I want to talk to you about getting stuck and what to do to get unstuck. This can apply to anything that’s going on in your life. One can get stuck in living their purpose, relationships, job, dealing with children, and dealing with who you are.
I love to read. I want to share a remarkable book called Greater Does Exist, 25 Strategies to help you Unleash Your Greatness by Shineka C. Karim. I am not going to share her comprehensive strategies on how to get unstuck. I do, want to share one thing that stood out with me. “Stuck is a mindset. It is a hindrance, a holding place. It’s bondage. S t u c k means stationary, thoughts unbecoming of your character and knowledge”-Shineka C. Karim.
We’re going to get stuck at some point in time in our lives. It might happen several times. I want to talk about getting stuck in your purpose. When you are walking in your purpose, and you are learning more about yourself in expounding your calling, there will be times when you become stuck. You may say, okay, I don’t know what to do next. How do I get out of this place?
Sometimes, we have these unique ideas. We complete a project that we set out to do, and then you say to yourself, what’s next? One way to get unstuck is to pray. Ask God for guidance. Psalm 32:8 CSB- I will instruct you and show you the way to go; with my eye on you, I will give you counsel.
Think about what your purpose is. What are you trying to convey? If you think about it, some ideas will start popping in your head. If not, guess what you can do? Get an accountability partner. You should have an accountability partner. An accountability partner is someone who will help you identify a solution and help you accomplish your goal(s). They also make sure you stay on track. When you have an accountability partner, amazing things happen. You’re able to complete your goal(s). When you get stuck, you can say, hey, you know what, I’m stuck. I’ve done this project. I can’t seem to move from this place. I don’t know what to do next. Can you help me figure out some things? Watch and see what happens.
Surround yourself with people who are doing the same thing you’re doing. I mean in your lane. Look up people who are doing the same purpose that you’re doing and if they have books out, read them. Contact them and talk to them. Hopefully, they will speak to you, and then it can help you get unstuck with listening to someone who’s been where you are. You will get unstuck. Just hang in there.
Things to remember when you get stuck, let go and delegate. Learn to ask for help. Never be afraid to ask for help. Always be prepared for failure if you do fail. Get up and try again. Do not let failure stop you from walking in your purpose and with life in general. Stop putting off your task and never give up.
No matter what. It’s never too late to begin again. Think about it. When you get stuck and let’s say you fail, it’s never too late to start over. Wherever you are stuck at, start there and never give up. Ask for help, delegate it. The answers are there.
